Colorado Operation Lifesaver
- Volunteer Opportunities
This page lists the some of
the volunteer opportunities within CO OL.
-
Become a certified Operation Lifesaver
Presenter!
-
Help is always needed to get the OL
safety messages out to new and different audiences. It is our goal
to have several presenters in every community that can team teach and tag-team
on regular occuring classes such as driver's ed, truck drivers, school
programs, etc. To learn more, check out our national web page at:
<http://www.oli.org>
-
Staff display booths at fairs, safety
events, conventions, and railroad events.
-
Refurbish the "Mall Displays".
-
We own several displays that fit an
8 foot booth. In some cases the background material requires replacing.
In one display we would like to obtain additional display photographs highlighting
trespass issues.
-
Take OL orientation class and coordinate
presentations.
-
Phone potential audience groups and
set up presenters. Help especially needed in Denver/Boulder metro
area.
-
Assist with coordination on mailings
/ data base entries.
-
This could be done with a home computer
and Microsoft Office.
-
Assist with website development
and management.
-
Creative ideas welcome. Anyone,
anywhere with web software and email can help us.
-
Writing and public relations assistance.
-
Take OL orientation class and assist
with follow-up articles, letters to editors, press releases, and internal
communications.
-
Photography.
-
CO OL has an on-going "shoot list"
of images needed for upgrading special target group curriculum. We
would like to photo document more of our events, special events and
classes. Digital images can be used to enhance the state website.
