Note to Public Safety Agencies:
KNOW THE OWNERSHIP OF ALL OF YOUR RAIL LINES AND INDUSTRIAL SPURS. MAP YOUR RAIL LINES AND RAILROAD MILEPOSTS ON ALL YOUR RESPONSE MAPS.
CONSIDER THESE PHONE NUMBERS UNCONFIRMED UNTIL YOU TEST THEM. NUMBERS CHANGE FREQUENTLY. COLORADO OPERATION LIFESAVER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCURACY OF THIS LIST.
These numbers are for emergency communications only. Obtain at least three emergency contingency numbers for each line in your district.
Report your district boundaries by RAILROAD MILEPOST to each of your railroads with a list of your agency's NON 9-1-1 24-hour emergency contact numbers. Many railroads are dispatched from remote out-of-state locations. Be certain that railroads have pager numbers and cellular numbers for your key personnel.
Railroads are dynamic. Consolidation, change of ownership, or change in operations can occur at any time. Insure that you have rosters for key railroad emergency personnel and special agents updated at least semi-annually.
