CO OL Rail Safety for First Responders
This course offers classroom and practical safety training for emergency responders at rail related incidents.
Topics include:
The course is presented by railroad professionals including locomotive engineers and special agents (railroad police).
The course may be presented in two 2-hour segments. One 2-hour indoor classroom session can be held in-service at any work site. The practical rail session is scheduled at a nearby rail facility. Many options are available. Some departments schedule all the classroom sections over one month and then complete the practical training sessions later in the year.
Participants completing both sections receive a certificate of completion and an OL lapel pin.
